Apple Retail Growth Accounted for 1/5 of All U.S. Retail Growth in Q1 2011
USA Today reporting on the findings of David Berman, claim that Apple US sales grew by 80% for the first fiscal quarter that ended in March. Apple accounted for 1/5 of all US retail expansion for that quarter. The total retail growth for that quarter in the US was $23.2 billion.
Additionally, Apple’s retail sales were up 32%, which saw a 90% growth of in-store Mac sales. All together Apple’s retail revenue was $3.18 billion for Q1 of this year, which is a 90% increase year-over-year.
